WASHINGTON DC: Richmond, VA – Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin has appointed Mansoor Qureshi, a prominent Pakistani-American entrepreneur and community leader, to the Virginia Asian Advisory Board (VAAB).
In his new capacity, Qureshi will advise Governor Youngkin on critical issues impacting the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. His role will also focus on strengthening Virginia’s economic and cultural relationships with Asian nations, with an emphasis on commerce, trade, arts, education, and governance.
Governor Youngkin lauded the appointment, stating:
“Today, I am grateful to announce these appointments. I am confident that their leadership will help us strengthen the spirit of Virginia and achieve remarkable progress for our Commonwealth.”
Established in 2001, the Virginia Asian Advisory Board serves as a formal bridge between the Governor’s administration and the rapidly growing AAPI communities in the state. Its mission is to advocate for the needs and aspirations of these communities while enhancing Virginia’s position as a global hub for commerce, culture, and education.
Qureshi, an entrepreneur and Recruitment Talent Partner, is also the anchor of the TV program Capital Corner. With over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, 17 years in staffing and recruitment, and a decade in digital media and broadcasting, he is recognized as a respected community leader and advocate for economic and cultural growth.
