Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the nation on a significant milestone in remittances, announcing that $3.1 billion were received in December 2024, marking a 5.6% increase from November 2024.
Highlighting the year-on-year growth, he noted that remittances from December 2023 to December 2024 surged by 29.3%.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to overseas Pakistanis, calling the record-breaking remittances a testament to their unwavering commitment to the country’s progress and prosperity.
He further remarked, “The unprecedented rise in remittances has exposed the hollow claims of those predicting economic collapse. The wheels of Pakistan’s economy are now firmly moving towards growth and stability.”
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed that the country has transitioned from economic stabilization to a path of sustained economic development.
