ISLAMABAD: Justice Dr. Syed Mohammed Anwer, Aalim Judge of the Federal Shariat Court of Pakistan has extended his greeting to the Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad al-Khalili, the esteemed Grand Mufti of Oman, for his principled and resolute support for Pakistan during the recent military conflict with India on 10 May 2025.

It is with profound appreciation and respect that I, Justice Dr. Syed Mohammed Anwer, extend my heartfelt gratitude to His Eminence Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad al-Khalili, the esteemed Grand Mufti of Oman, for his principled and resolute support for Pakistan during the recent military conflict with India on 10 May 2025.
His Eminence’s statement on Monday, congratulating Pakistan on its steadfastness and triumph against aggression, reflects not only his deep understanding of the dynamics of the Indian subcontinent but also his profound insight into the rich history of Islamic governance in the region. By invoking the legacy of Muslim rulers who governed India with kindness, benevolence, and justice – treating all people, regardless of faith, with equity and tolerance – Sheikh al-Khalili has rightly reminded the Indian government of the values that once fostered harmony in the region.
