Under new chairman, SPSC introduces first-ever advance notice for CCE

TFD NEWS

KARACHI: For the first time ever, Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC), under its new Chairman Rizwan Ahmed, has issued an advance public notice for the Combined Competitive Exam (CCE) 2026 which gives the prospective candidates a tentative timetable of the Commission’s most important annual exam well before its scheduled date. According to the announcement on the SPSC official website, the screening test will take place in the second half of October 2026 whereas the written part will be held in December 2026.
This is amongst a series of reforms which the new SPSC Chairman has introduced since he was sworn into office earlier this year in June. Chairman Rizwan Ahmed had previously made transfers on a major scale of those SPSC officials who had been serving on their positions for a long period of time, effectively breaking their hegemony over the Commission’s affairs – especially of those serving in SPSC’s examination branch.
It may be noted here that Rizwan Ahmed is a former grade 22 federal secretary of Pakistan Administrative Service and holds a two-year Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University, USA.
