KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari has approved civil awards for 355 Pakistani and foreign personalities, including Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of the Pakistan Observer, Faisal Zahid Malik, in recognition of their outstanding services and achievements in various fields.
The awards will be conferred at a special investiture ceremony to be held on Pakistan Day, March 23, 2027. The recipients include prominent personalities from politics, public service, journalism, entertainment, sports, law enforcement, medicine and other fields.
Faisal Zahid Malik has carried forward the journalistic legacy of his late father, Mr. Zahid Malik, founder of the Pakistan Observer, who was himself honoured with the Hilal-i-Imtiaz and Sitara-i-Imtiaz for his services to the country and journalism.
Federal Minister Information & Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar congratulated Faisal Zahid Malik on receiving the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz, describing the honour as recognition of his invaluable contribution to the field of journalism.
The investiture ceremony will take place on March 23, 2027 (Pakistan Day), when these individuals will be honoured for their outstanding performance and contributions across various sectors.
