Air Asia X connects Karachi, Kuala Lumpur via new route

KARACHI: Air Asia X (AAX) celebrated another milestone in expanding its footprint in South Asia with the official announcement of its new route between Karachi and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in a press conference on Thursday held at the local hotel in Karachi.
Sindh Minister for Energy, Development, and Planning Syed Nasir Hussain Shah stated that foreign investment is playing a pivotal role in highlighting Pakistan’s positive image and ensuring economic stability and growth. He expressed these views while speaking to journalists at the inauguration ceremony of AirAsia operations starting in Pakistan. The energy minister said that to provide the public with affordable and high-quality air travel facilities, he has proposed that foreign airlines begin domestic services. He further stated that today is a day of disappointment for those spreading despair, who are trying to create frustration and chaos among the public through negative propaganda. Nasir Shah welcomed the international airline’s decision to begin operations in Pakistan, saying that both local and foreign investments are playing a crucial role in creating new employment opportunities. “Thankfully, Pakistan’s economy is on the path to recovery and progress,” he added.
The press conference was graced by Khawaja Ali Kamal Majid, CEO TCB Aviation Pvt. Ltd and Benyamin Ismail, CEO of AirAsia and said that we see tremendous potential for travel between these two cities with the aim to fly more than 100,000 passengers annually. The new rote serves as an achievement in enhancing travel connections between Pakistan and Malaysia.
Consul General, Herman Hardynata Ahmad, in his remarks said that, I took the opportunity to thank all the guests for attending the event and said that Pakistan and Malaysia, both bustling nations with thriving economies with plenty of tourism and trade potential.
