An Air India flight carrying more than 240 passengers was involved in a serious incident near the airport on Wednesday, according to local media reports. Emergency responders were seen evacuating injured passengers on stretchers, while multiple ambulances rushed the wounded to nearby hospitals.

The flight, AI171, operated on a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which typically seats over 200 passengers. Initial visuals broadcast by local news outlets showed dense plumes of black smoke billowing from the vicinity of the airport, with fire and rescue teams on the scene.
