ISLAMABAD: In a significant boost to Pakistan’s innovation and technology landscape, Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan today led the inauguration of the Anadolu Creator Lab at the National Science and Technology Park (NSTP), NUST. The lab, developed through support from the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), symbolizes the growing technological collaboration between Pakistan and Turkiye, says a Press release.
The event brought together key dignitaries including Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Irfan Neziroglu, Pro-Rector Dr. Osman Hasan of NUST, Ambassador of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to Pakistan Dil?ad ?enol, and TIKA’s Country Director Saliha Tuna. However, it was Minister Abdul Aleem Khan’s presence and vision that marked the highlight of the ceremony.
Speaking at the inauguration, Minister Khan lauded the initiative as a powerful step towards Pakistan’s technological self-reliance. “The Anadolu Creator Lab is not merely a facility; it represents a transformative opportunity for our youth to innovate, experiment, and lead in the global tech ecosystem,” he said. “This collaboration reflects the deep bond between Pakistan and Turkey, and together we are creating a future driven by knowledge and creativity.”
Occupying 120 square meters and outfitted with high-end 3D printers, a precision 3D scanner, smart boards, and ergonomic workspaces, the Anadolu Creator Lab is set to become a dynamic hub for students, researchers, and young entrepreneurs working in electronics, robotics, software development, and digital design.
Minister Khan emphasized the government’s commitment to empowering Pakistan’s youth through access to modern tools and platforms. “Our vision is to make Pakistan a regional leader in innovation, and partnerships like these are instrumental in achieving that goal,” he stated.
Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu reaffirmed Turkey’s ongoing support for Pakistan’s development initiatives, noting, “This lab is a symbol of creative cooperation. We believe it will be a catalyst for cross-border innovation and problem-solving.”
Dr. Osman Hasan expressed his gratitude to Minister Khan and TIKA for the invaluable support, noting that the lab would significantly enhance NUST’s ecosystem of research and entrepreneurship.
TIKA Country Director Saliha Tuna added that the Anadolu Creator Lab embodies TIKA’s focus on sustainable development. “We are investing in the future – empowering youth and strengthening ties between our nations,” she said.
The ceremony concluded with Minister Abdul Aleem Khan touring the facility, engaging with students and researchers, and reiterating the government’s full backing for such forward-looking initiatives.
