KARACHI: Ali Zaman Taji Qawwal son of Zaman Zaki Taji Qawwal is keeping the work of his ancestors intact through his melodious voice and capable group. He belongs to the family of Sikandarabad Gharana. Ali Zaman Taji’s ancestors, Mian Ada Rang and Mian Sada Rang, achieved great heights of fame. It is very difficult to find an example of them.
Ali Zaman Taji’s grandfather Ustaad Zaki Taji (Late) made a name for himself in the world of qawali performance.
On the occasion of the Urs-e-Mubarak of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, Ustad Zaki Taji (Late) was awarded the title of Khusro Raagi by former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi.
He received Radio Pakistan Broadcasting (National Excellency) Award in 2004 and was awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan on March 23, 2012.
Ali Zaman Taji’s father Ustaad Zaman Zaki Taji (Late) also gained a lot of fame in the art of qawali performance and won the hearts of his fans with his famous Qawwali Performance and gained international fame.
He also performed outside Pakistan with successful tours of South Africa, USA, India, UAE, England and many more.
Ali Zaman Taji Qawal joined his grandfather’s and father’s group in 2007 under the leadership of his grandfather.
Now after the death of his father he took the place of his father and now along his performing with his uncles Shah Zaman Taji, Salman Taji, Faisal Taji and Kashif Taji. Now the name of this group is Ali Zaman Taji S/o Zaman Zaki Taji (Late).
Ali Zaman Taji impressed the people with his qawwali performance and received much appreciate in many gatherings.
He gained appreciation by perfoming at various TV Channels including PTV, ARY, QTV, Ramazan transmission on Aaj News.
