Asim’s dominant performance led to a win with scores of 11-9, 11-6, and 11-15, marking a strong start in this PSA World Tour Copper event, which boasts a prize pool of $33,000.
Asim, ranked 60th in the PSA rankings and Pakistan’s top-ranked player, showcased remarkable control and strategic adaptability throughout the match. He now advances to the second round, where he faces a tougher challenge against the tournament’s top seed, Auguste Dussourd from France.
