KARACHI: Bank Alfalah golfers clinched victory at the 9th LRBT Golf Tournament, held on Sunday at the Karachi Golf Club, PNS Karsaz. The annual tournament was organized by the Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust (LRBT) to raise funds for its mission of providing free eye care to underprivileged communities across Pakistan.
The Chief Guest, Faisal Farooq, Head of Human Resources at Bank Alfalah, lauded LRBT’s long-standing commitment to combating curable blindness and appreciated the corporate sector’s continued support for this humanitarian cause.
In his inaugural remarks, the former Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan highlighted LRBT’s remarkable contribution to public health, stating that the organization provides free, quality eye care to over 3.3 million underprivileged patients annually, including 300,000 children, through its network of 20 hospitals and 63 clinics nationwide.
Earlier, Maleeha Aiman presented an overview of LRBT’s mission and emphasized that the LRBT Golf Tournament has evolved into a vital platform for fundraising and awareness, enabling the organization to continue delivering sight-saving services to those in need.
The event was attended by notable personalities, golf enthusiasts, corporate leaders, and philanthropists, all united in support of a brighter future for Pakistan’s underserved communities.
Trophies were presented to supporting partners including Aijaz ul Hassan, Jubilee Life, Salwa, Martin Dow, Sharifa, Habib Metro Bank, and other contributors.
Tahir Abbasi, Head of Resource Development and Communications at LRBT, distributed participation kits among the golfers.
LRBT organizers expressed appreciation to the media and participants, noting that such coverage plays a vital role in amplifying the cause of restoring sight and transforming lives across the country.
