KARACHI: In the 7th Student Olympic Games, Beacon Light School won the title of Futsal Boys Juniors, the final of Junior Girls Throwball was won by DHA Phase Four School and the title of Junior Boys Throwball went to The City School PAF Chapter, says a Press release.
In the futsal competition which was played at the airfield of MC Sports Complex on Thursday, Beacon Light School Maymar beat The City School PAF Chapter by one goal to become the champions. Muhammad Rayan scored a goal, Habib Public School won the third position in the event, Habib Public School beat Happy Home School by 2-0 goals, Mikael and Mansab scored goals each for the winning team.
The Throwball competition was held at the Indoor Gymnasium Hall of Pakistan Sports Board Karachi Center where the Junior Girls Throwball title was won by DHA Phase Four, easily defeating The City School PAF Chapter 2-0 in straight sets in the final. In the third place match, The City School Derakhshan Campus win over the rival team Beacon Light School Maymar by 2-0 sets.
The City School PAF Chapter won the first position in the Throwball Boys Juniors. In the final, they defeated The First Step School team number one by two sets to one. The Academy School won the match First School team won third place by defeating number two, the winning team winning straight sets 2-0.
In the 7th Student Olympic Games, girls catch ball competition will be held at Pakistan Sports Board Karachi Center from 9 am to 5 pm on Friday.
Earlier on Wednesday, these games were inaugurated by Pakistan Sports Board Karachi Center Director Imran Yusuf and Pakistan Olympic Association President Maqbool Arain.
KARACHI: The 7th Student Olympic Games has started, girls throwball competition was inaugurated by Director of Pakistan Sports Karachi Center Imran Yousaf while Boys Futsal competitions were inaugurated by Pakistan Student Olympic Association President Maqbool Arain. Association President Azmat Pasha, Babar Salim and others were also present.
On this occasion, Maqbool Arain said that 4,000 students from more than 100 schools, colleges and universities are participating in the 7th Student Olympic Games, 16 different sports for girls and boys have been held in these games. These competitions will be held from September 13 to 23 on four different venues i.e. Pakistan Sports Board Karachi Centre, KMC Sports Complex, YMC Ground and Mini Sports Complex Nazimabad.
The City School Darakhshan Campus, Beacon Light Mimar, DHACSS Phase Four and The City School PAF Chapter made it to the semi-finals in the girls’ throwball competition for classes 6 to 8 held at the Pakistan Sports Board Karachi Center.
In the first semi-final, The City School Darakhshan Campus will compete against DHACSS Phase Four, while in the second semi-final, Beacon Light Mimar School will compete against The City School PAF Chapter.
Futsal competition which was played at KMC Sports Complex airfield in which The City School PAF Chapter, Beacon Light Mimar, Habib Public School and Happy Home School qualified for the semi-finals.
