Bilawal to inaugurate state-of-the-art Trauma Centre in Quetta on November 15

QUETTA: The newly built Trauma Centre on Spini Road, Quetta, is set to be inaugurated by Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on November 15. The modern facility, nearing completion, represents a major advancement in the province’s healthcare infrastructure.

According to Dr. Arbab Kamran, Managing Director of the Trauma Centre at Civil Hospital Quetta, the centre will initially accommodate 120 patients, with plans to expand capacity to 200. It is being equipped with advanced medical technologies, including a modern laboratory, CT scan unit, and cutting-edge diagnostic and emergency machinery. Recruitment of qualified medical staff is also underway to ensure smooth operations from the outset.

Meanwhile, Balochistan’s Minister for Health, Bakht Muhammad Kakar, inspected the ongoing construction work and reviewed its quality and progress. He was accompanied by Special Secretary Health Shahak Baloch, officials from the Communication and Works (C&W) Department, and representatives from other relevant agencies.

Minister Kakar directed all departments to complete the project in line with international standards and without delay. He described the new Trauma Centre as a milestone initiative by the Government of Balochistan that will significantly enhance emergency healthcare services not only in Quetta but across the province. The minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to upgrading healthcare infrastructure and ensuring modern, efficient, and accessible medical care for the people of Balochistan.
