Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif hinted at a possible hidden agenda behind the recent release of Bushra Bibi and her relocation to Peshawar. In a social media post, Asif remarked on the actions of PTI leader Gandapur, who he described as making grand statements, issuing threats, disappearing, and then reappearing. He referred to this as “Aniyan Janiyan” (coming and going), questioning the motives behind it.
Asif suggested that the PTI, as a whole, might be involved in deceiving its followers and pointed to what he described as a possible “behind-the-scenes deal.” He hinted that Bushra Bibi’s move to Peshawar and her residence at the Chief Minister’s House could be more than just personal choice, insinuating it might be a strategic decision influenced by PTI leadership.
Responding to Asif’s claims, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan asserted that Bushra’s release was lawful, dismissing any suggestions of a deal. PTI Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram also defended Bushra Bibi’s decision, stating she is a private individual with the freedom to reside wherever she chooses.
