Celebration of the 25th anniversary of Morocco King Mohammed VI’s accession to the throne

KARACHI: Mohamed Karmoune Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco and Honorary Consul General Ishtiaq Baig hosted a reception at his residence to mark the 25th anniversary of the accession to the throne of King Mohammed VI of Morocco, attended by consuls general of various countries, member parliament, business leaders and members of the Moroccan community, here Wednesday.
The ceremony began with the national anthems of both the countries. Mohamed Karmoune said the celebration of the 25th anniversary of King Mohammed VI’s ascension to the throne is a moment for the renewal of strong ties that unite the Moroccan citizens with their King and the great achievements that Morocco has accomplished under the leadership of King Mohammed VI.
Pakistan and Morocco are two brotherly countries knitted with a common foundation of religion; culture and brotherhood cemented by excellent political relations.
Ishtiaq Baig said that he considers Morocco his second home and the bilateral trade between the two countries has reached USD 800 million and has the potential to reach USD 1 billion in years to come.
