China’s National Meteorological Center (NMC) has renewed an orange alert for rainstorms and issued a blue alert for severe convective weather as of Sunday morning.

From Sunday morning to Monday morning, the NMC forecasts heavy rains and rainstorms across various regions, including:
- Anhui
- Shanghai
- Zhejiang
- Jiangxi
- Fujian
Torrential rains are expected particularly in parts of Anhui, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, and Guizhou.
The center has also issued a blue alert for severe convective weather. This includes:
- Thunderstorms
- Gales
- Hail
These conditions are expected to impact:
- Jilin
- Liaoning
- Hebei
- Shandong
- Anhui
- Shanghai
- Hunan
- Jiangxi
- Zhejiang
Heavy Rainfall Warning
Short and heavy rainfall, with hourly precipitation exceeding 20 mm, is predicted for:
- Jilin
- Liaoning
- Hebei
- Anhui
- Jiangsu
- Shanghai
Safety Precautions
The NMC advises the public to:
- Reduce outdoor activities
- Vessels operating in or transiting affected waters should return to ports or take detours
- Local governments are urged to cut dangerous outdoor power supplies
- Suspend outdoor operations in open areas
Weather Warning System
China employs a four-tier weather warning system:
- Red: Most severe
- Orange: Second most severe
- Yellow: Moderate
- Blue: Least severe
