Chinese investors meet Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, show interest in Sindh development projects

KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Local Government, Housing and Town Planning Sindh, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, met with a delegation of Chinese investors who expressed their intent to jointly invest with the Sindh Government in various development projects. The Chinese delegation stated that they were keen to invest in diverse development initiatives across Karachi and other parts of Sindh to enhance the quality of infrastructure, transport, housing, and urban facilities.
Welcoming the delegation, Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that under the vision of Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the guidance of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, the process of development across Sindh is progressing rapidly. He added that Sindh has achieved record development compared to other provinces of Pakistan.
During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on matters of mutual interest. The Minister offered the Chinese delegation partnership and investment opportunities in the Karachi-Rohri train service project.
Syed Nasir Shah said Sindh is a fertile region for investment, with abundant opportunities in energy, transport, housing, water management, and infrastructure sectors. He emphasized that the Sindh Government welcomes all investors working for the progress and prosperity of the province and its people and will extend full cooperation for investment.
The Chinese delegation was led by Ms. Hao Juejio.
The meeting was also attended by Secretary Local Government Waseem Shamshad, Ali Mandviwala, Azhar Elahi, Muhammad Danish, and other relevant officials.
The Minister briefed the delegation about profitable investment opportunities in various sectors and assured them of complete cooperation under the Sindh Government’s Public-Private Partnership (PPP) policy.
