ISLAMABAD: A total of 4,044 new coronavirus cases have surfaced in the country over the last twenty-four hours, taking the total tally to 192,970, said National Command and Operation Centre on Thursday.
These include 71,191 in Punjab, 74,070 in Sindh, 23,887 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 9,817 in Balochistan, 11,710 in Islamabad, 1,365 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 930 in Azad Kashmir.
The death toll from the virus stands at 3,903 with 148 deaths reported over the last twenty-four hours. A total of 21,835 corona tests were carried out during this period. So far, 81,307 patients have recovered from the disease, said NCOC.
The NCOC said that there is no patient on ventilator in AJK and GB. A total of 571 ventilators are occupied across Pakistan out of 1,542 ventilators allocated for COVID-19. The total active COVID-19 cases in the country are 107,760.
Meanwhile, 8,837 violations of health guidelines/instructions were observed across the country during the last 24 hours. More than 887 markets/ shops and 7 industrial units were sealed while 1,513 transporters were fined. – TLTP
