HYDERABAD: A member of the Central Advisory Council of the Azadar Rabita Committee Hyderabad, Mir Ghulamullah Khan Talpur, has alleged that deliberate delaying tactics are being employed in the official construction of the shrine of Masooma-e-Sindh located in Agham Kot, reportedly as part of a planned conspiracy to serve the interests of a select group.
Addressing a meeting of the committee, he claimed that certain officials within the Sindh Auqaf Department themselves have become involved in these deliberate delays, despite the fact that the project was initiated by the department.
He said that construction work on the shrine has remained suspended for several months, causing serious inconvenience to the thousands of devotees who visit the site daily from across the country. “What is most shocking,” he added, “is that the very officials responsible for the government’s construction work are the ones obstructing it. There is solid evidence of their involvement.”
Mir Ghulamullah Khan Talpur warned that if these officials do not immediately stop their deliberate obstruction, the committee will hold a big press conference at the Karachi Press Club and reveal all evidence of the delaying tactics and misconduct of the relevant Sindh Auqaf officials before the national and international media.
He said that the committee will not remain silent over the inconvenience caused to devotees and the misuse of authority by those responsible for the project’s progress.
