DFW DEG,LadiesFund sign MoU for matching grant to make barracks more friendly

BANGKOK: German KFW DEG signed a MoU with LadiesFund Energy Pvt. Ltd. for a matching grant for building capacity for women as well as making the barracks more female friendly, says a Press release.
Present at the ceremony was Roland Siller, CEO, DEG, as well as Tara Uzra Dawood, Chairperson, LEF. Also present was Dr. Hubertus Pleister, Managing Director KFW DEG Impulse and Director Corporates Asia at DEG, Benjamin Brink, Regional Director SouthEast Asia DEG.
This landmark agreement facilitates the region’s first renewables plant run primarily by and owned by women.
“As the father of two daughters, I cannot be more excited about DEG KFW becoming a part of LadiesFund Energy Pvt Ltd with the awarding of a matching grant for their upcoming 50 MW female led solar plant in Gharo,” stated Siller.
“Very excited and deeply grateful for DEG KFW’s support and enthusiasm as we work hard to make history together,” said Tara Uzra Dawood, Chairperson, LadiesFund Energy Pvt. Ltd.
