ISLAMABAD: Distribution of financial assistance to deserving families under Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program is continuing across Pakistan, Gilgit-Balitistan and Azad Kashmir.
In a tweet, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Sania Nishtar said that disbursement of cash assistance at designated places started at 08:00am on Sunday.
Complete social distancing and disinfection of hands and other equipment is being ensured at the cash points across the country to protect the people from coronavirus pandemic, she said.
It may be added that Rs16.58 billion have been distributed among 1.38 million families across the country till Saturday under Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program.
Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program is the biggest relief initiative in the history of Pakistan, taken by the PTI government, to provide one-time assistance of 12,000 rupees to deserving families. – TLTP
