KARACHI: In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity, SSP Arif Aziz (PSP) District City extended his warm congratulations to the daughter of a martyred police officer on her wedding on February 6, 2025 and personally attended the ceremony to show support and contributions, says a Press release.
The bride’s father, Mohammad Pervaiz, head constable, a brave police officer, was martyred in 2016 while performing his duty at a snap-checking post in Chakiwara, Karachi, when miscreants opened fire on him.
In honour of his sacrifice, the City District Police, under the leadership of SSP City Arif Aziz (PSP), ensured that his daughter’s wedding was a memorable and well-supported occasion, reaffirming their commitment to the families of fallen officers.
Accompanying SSP City were SP Lyari Lal Bakhsh Solangi, SDPO Baghdadi Tabish Ali, and SHO Baghdadi Majid Alvi, all of whom participated in the event to pay tribute to the late officer’s service and stand by his family to make the day memorable.
In a touching moment, female police constables welcomed the bride with flowers, symbolising the force’s deep respect and support. To further commemorate the occasion, the District City Police ensured that the martyr’s daughter was escorted with full police protocol, highlighting their dedication to upholding the legacy of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP City Arif Aziz paid homage to the martyred policeman and all other personnel who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. He emphasised the police force’s unwavering resolve to honour their fallen comrades, demonstrating courage, dedication, and the spirit to serve the city and the nation.
He reaffirmed the commitment to supporting the families of martyred police personnel with the same devotion as they protect the community.
