KARACHI: Minister for Health and Population Welfare, Sindh, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, held a Press Conference at the Sindh Assembly’s Committee Room after various quetions raised by Doctors Community including Pakistan Medical association regarding damaged Health care system of Sind Province on Monday.
Provincial Minister of Sindh for Labour and Information and Human Resources, Saeed Ghani and Secretary Health, Sindh, Zulfiqar Shah were also in attendance.
Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, Health Minister left the Committee Room of Sindh Assembly when a question raised about Justice Salauddin Panhwar’s objections on Prof. Nadeem Qamar appointment in both NICVD and SICVD as Executive Director. She left the Press conference to avoid any reply.
SHC gave three months’ time to Sindh Govt. to remove him from SICVD and appointment of new managers for SICVD. A judgement order has been passed on 14th October, 2021 by Justice Salauddin Panhwar and Justice Adnan Memon.
Earlier, the Minister stated that about the progress being made in the health sector in the province there are currently 96 schemes under way in the Annual Development Programme (ADP), with 48 new schemes and 38 schemes that have been completed. 57 billion have been distributed as grants that allow institutes such as NICVD to function and develop new innovations.
