The foundation of Science of Economics and methods of research methodology.
The subject of wealth, money and exchange value of value is defined as the science of economics. This field of knowledge deal with the following subtitles:
1. Understanding the meaning of wealth?
2. What is wealth?
3. How it can be measured or counted?
4. What is Division (Taqseem)?
5. What is Transfer (Tabadalah)?
6. What is Transfer value or exchange value?
7. What are the principles of the Science of Economics?
8. What are the causes of creation of Money or how it exists?
So, the knowledge of economics is a systematic and hyrarchial catalogue of these questions. The student of economics, Business and entrepreneurshipshould think vastly on the apprehensions of analytical study of the subject matter. The reader must be serious, that this study is unique in its nature. Its idea of subject matter is individual in nature. Iqbal understands this field as an important element of our civilisation. ‘To understand the crux of the subject, you must have an expert ship or specialisation on economics’ (Ilm-Ul-Iqtisaad, 1904 AD, P. 7).
Allama Sir Iqbal raises an important question that, ‘does knowledge of economics create lust of money or wealth’ (Ilm-Ul-Iqtisaad, 1904 AD, P. 7). Iqbal proposes few people refuse to study it, because they understand it creates immorality and bad character in the personality of human being. Because the investor starts love with its increasing investment. These qualities make human immoral and illegal personality. Wealth creates lust and and makes human being the callous stone. The Iranian Scholars Dr. Hosniyeh Novin, Dr. Kamran Pashayi Fakhri and Dr. Parvaneh Adelzadeh of Islamic Azad University, Tabriz Iran comment in their research paper on Iqbal-i-Lahori:
“He is not only a poet, but also his works havenumerous advantages and features. He is a Muslim theologian and philosopher, thinker, wise man, prominent politician, mystic and heart burning loverand he has written the book of “Economics”that is the first book abouteconomics in Urdu.”This book is the first book of Iqbal published in 1903 in Lahore” (Iran from IqbalLahoriperspective: 2011:37).He refers poverty in specific context. “(O people, you need to Allah, and Allah does not need anyone). In his opinion, the holy prophetis proud ofsatiety(PBUH)(Religion and world view of Iqbal, 2001: 45).Poverty in his poems is according to Quran and propheticdefinition. For him, the poor depends only on God. It means renunciation and ignoring others except God andconnection to the universe and exaltation.
“Poverty (livinginsimple way) isa way of living that result of particular attitude towards religion, ethics, economicsand social and material aspects of life. This attitude to foster a healthy personality is very important. Those who live simple are called dervish in Persian.”
