This year marks the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). The founding of the CPC was an epoch-making event, which profoundly changed the course of Chinese history in modern times, transformed the future of the Chinese people and nation, and altered the landscape of world development. Since the very day of its founding, the CPC has made seeking happiness for the Chinese people and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation its aspiration and mission. Over the past 103 years, the CPC has united and led the Chinese people in overthrowing imperialist oppression, securing the nation’s independence and liberating the people, historically resolving the issue of absolute poverty, and comprehensively building a moderately prosperous society. Within a few decades, China has traversed the industrialization path that took Western developed countries several hundred years, evolving from a poor and backward country to the world’s second-largest economy, largest trading nation, largest holder of foreign exchange reserves, and largest manufacturing nation. China has also established the world’s largest systems for compulsory education, social security, and healthcare, achieving rapid economic development and long-term social stability. Looking forward, under the strong leadership of the CPC and President Xi Jinping, the Chinese government will fully, faithfully and comprehensively implement the new development philosophy, accelerate the construction of a new development pattern, promote high-quality development, deepen reform and opening up, build up our country’s strength in high-level science and technology, continuously improve people’s well-being, maintain social stability, and comprehensively advance the great cause of building China into a great modern socialist country in all respects and advancing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through the Chinese path to modernization. The CPC is a party that seeks happiness for the Chinese people and also strives for the progress of humanity. Currently, the world is undergoing unprecedented changes with intensive in-depth evolution. And the international situation is experiencing turbulence and transformation. Issues like the Ukraine crisis and conflicts in the Middle East arise one after another, terrorist threats and activities erupt in multiple locations, and unilateralism and power politics challenge the international governance system. Given the series of major issues and challenges facing the world today, the CPC calls for an equal and orderly multipolar world and a universally beneficial and inclusive economic globalization, and has creatively proposed building a community with a shared future for mankind, along with the Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, and Global Civilization Initiative. These efforts link China’s future closely with the future of humanity, opening new paradigms for international relations theory and contributing Chinese wisdom to global governance reform, guiding the development of human society. China and Pakistan are not only good neighbors connected by mountains and rivers and good friends with shared trust and integrity, but also good partners supporting each other and good brothers sharing weal and woe. Over the past 73 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China-Pakistan relations have withstood international changes, with the friendship between the two countries remaining rock-solid and stable as Mount Taishan, exemplifying amicable state-to-state relations. Party-to-party relations are an important component of China-Pakistan relations. For a long time, the CPC has maintained close interactions and mutual support with various political parties in Pakistan, playing an important role in enhancing political mutual trust, promoting practical cooperation, and deepening governance exchanges between the two countries. A few days ago, the China-Pakistan Political Parties Forum and the Third Meeting of CPEC Political Parties joint Consultation Mechanism were successfully held in Islamabad. Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, and leaders of major political parties in Pakistan attended the forum. On the new journey, the CPC is willing to maintain close interactions with all political parties in Pakistan, strengthen exchanges and mutual learning on state governance, lead the alignment of development strategies between the two countries, build platforms for practical cooperation, continuously solidify the public opinion foundation of China-Pakistan friendship, and jointly build a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era, safeguarding regional peace, stability, development, and prosperity together.
