However, as we arrived at the site, we discovered that we were visiting the Shanghai Electric Turbine Plant (STP) rather than the company’s corporate headquarters. The officials at STP clarified that their responsibilities were entirely focused on turbine technology and innovation, and they were not involved in the acquisition process.
