KARACHI: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori inaugurated the Community Police Karachi Command and Control unit on Monday at Defence Police Station in Karachi, says a Press release.
Murad Ali Soni (Chief CPK) and Zeeshan Habib (Chief CPK DHA/Clifton) welcome the Governor Sindh on his arrival along with CPK-DHA/Clifton executive members who attended the function included Ahmed Mubashir (Deputy Chief CPK DHA/Clifton), Aamir Churra (Joint Chief CPK DHA/Clifton) Umar Butt (member), Ch. Faisal Rasheed (member) and Kamran Habib (member).
Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori grieved over the precious lives lost due to street crimes in Karachi and appreciated the efforts of Community Policing initiative of CPK.
Speaking at the occasion Murad Ali Soni (Chief CPK) said that we are striving to eradicate the crimes from Karachi and installing 158 cameras in the Defence Police station and already working here in their command and control unit of CPK. In addition 2 NPR cameras and 2 high resolution zoom cameras were also added to improve the vigilance activities of P.S Defence.
On 29th March CPK-Gizri Police station was inaugurated by Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, 2nd Command and Control Unit of DHA and 9th of Karachi at Gizri Police Station. It has 148 6mpx cameras which is the highest resolution put by CPK in any command and control. In addition it has 2 zoom cameras and 2 NPR cameras.
Our next project is in DHA Police Station, Sahil located in Sea View Command and Control Unit where we are installing 250 cameras and after that the Darakshan Command and Control Unit with 250 cameras.
The dignitaries who attended the event are Dr. Abid Sheikh (DG Rescue 1122), Amir Chottani, Sohail Japanwala, Col Noman (DHA Vigilance) and others.
