Hazara Univ marks 73rd anniversary of Pakistan, China diplomatic relations

MANSEHRA: Pakistan Studies Department, Hazara University, Mansehra organized event to mark the 73rd anniversary of Pak-China diplomatic relations under the auspices of Chinese Embassy, Islamabad, here Wednesday, says a Press release.
Dr. Farhat Asif, President, Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies, Islamabad was Chief Guest on the occasion.
Addressing the students, she said that right after independence, China faced many challenges and turned into opportunities for its people and emerged as all-round developed nation on the globe.
She said that development can be achieved by following the footsteps of China, for which we must move forward with consistency and make continuous hard work so that Pakistan can be included in the ranks of developed nations.
Dr. Farhat Asif while briefing the students about China’s Belt Road Initiative said that more than 140 countries are part of this mega project, which aims to connect China with other regions of the world through land and sea routes while CPEC in Pakistan is a part of this project. She said that China has always been a trusted friend of Pakistan at the regional and global level.
Dean Faculty of Arts and Humanities Prof. Dr. Mujtaba Shah also interacted with the students and said that young scholars must equip themselves with modern scientific knowledge to get full benefit from the ongoing projects under CPEC to play their role for the development of the country and the nation.
Ayesha Alam, Head, Department of Pakistan Studies highlighted the importance of Pak-China friendship and presented the diplomatic relations between the two countries in the form of poetry. Students, faculty members and administrative officers from different departments of the university attended the ceremony.
