Hazara University’s dept hosts ‘Cultural Heritage’exhibition in Mansehra

MANSEHRA: The Department of Pakistan Studies at Hazara University, Mansehra, holds a distinctive identity, whether in forging international collaborations or contributing on a national scale. Reflecting this uniqueness, the department organized an exhibition as part of the course “Cultural Heritage,” under the leadership of Madam Noreen Rafiq, says a Press release.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness among students about Pakistan’s cultural heritage, emphasizing that Pakistan is a rich and diverse country with a strong cultural identity, standing proudly among other nations due to its traditions and heritage.
Students showcased various models representing Pakistan’s culture. For instance, a model of the Badshahi Mosque drew significant attention. Other models highlighted the cultural aspects of Mansehra District, the historical town of Balakot and its cultural features. Similarly, Takht-i-Bahi in Mardan was prominently displayed by the students. Iconic landmarks such as Minar-e-Pakistan and the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah were creatively depicted, emphasizing their historical and cultural significance.
A large number of faculty members and students visited the exhibition and appreciated the efforts of the students and the department. Such exhibitions are crucial as they provide students with practical opportunities to understand and explore their field of study. For example, a model of the Gurdwara in Mansehra was presented, reflecting the region’s cultural diversity.
