Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in Karachi: PMD

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted heavy rains and thunderstorms for Karachi today (Monday), with overcast conditions and a humidity level of 92%. Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz has informed that intermittent rain is expected throughout the day and night due to low atmospheric pressure near western Sindh.

Weather Details:

  • Current Conditions: Sea winds are blowing lightly.
  • Temperature Forecast: Maximum temperature will range from 30°C to 32°C, while the minimum temperature recorded earlier was 27°C.

Upcoming Weather:

  • Tuesday: Possibility of cloudy skies with light rain or drizzle.
  • Monsoon System: Another monsoon system may enter eastern Sindh from Rajasthan on August 10 or 11, potentially causing rain on August 12 or 13.

The recent rains have brought a pleasant change to Karachi’s weather, providing relief from the persistent heat. Rain continued from Sunday night into Monday morning, with Nazimabad recording the highest rainfall.
