ICC Rankings Update: Jayden Seales Achieves Career-Best Position

 

West Indies’ fast bowler Jayden Seales has reached a career-best ranking of 13th in the ICC Test bowling rankings, following his standout performance in the second Test against South Africa. Seales took nine wickets in the match, which propelled him up 13 spots, making him the highest-ranked Test bowler from the Windies.

In addition to Seales’ rise, spinners Jomel Warrican and Gudakesh Motie also saw advancements. Warrican moved up to 52nd, while Motie climbed to 64th. Fast bowler Shamar Joseph improved his ranking by 11 spots, now positioned at 54th, further enhancing the Windies’ representation in the rankings.

For South Africa, Wiaan Mulder, named Player of the Match, made a significant jump of 27 places to 65th after his six-wicket haul against the Windies. Off-spinner Dane Piedt also surged nine spots to 66th due to his impactful performance.

Former West Indies captain Jason Holder dropped seven positions to 60th, despite scoring an unbeaten 54 in a single innings. Holder maintains his 17th position in the all-rounders’ list.

In the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2, Scott Edwards’ performances have earned him the 26th spot in the ODI batting rankings. Meanwhile, Aaron Jones of the USA and Vikramajit Singh from the Netherlands made notable progress, advancing 11 and nine spots respectively in the batting rankings.
