IDEAS 2022 Receives a Massive Global Response: Naveed Brig.

KARACHI: Brigadier Naveed Azam Cheema, Director Coordination has said that the 11th edition of International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS 2022) has an overwhelming response globally 300 delegates from 64 countries were confirmed and it is scheduled from 15-18 November 2022 at Karachi Expo Centre. This was stated by him while addressing the curtain raiser ceremony of the event held here at Expo Centre, Saturday.
Commodore Mohammad Tahir SI(M), Director Media, Air Commodore Abdul Basit, Director EPS from DEPO, DIGP Traffic, Ahmed Nawaz Cheema and Zohair Naseer Chief Executive Officer of Badar Expo Solutions and officials from Defence Export Production Organization (DEPO) were also present during the media briefing.
Brigadier Naveed Azam Cheema said, “IDEAS 2022 is our National Cause” and aims to enhance the export of this country for economic revival. He said that we will showcase the indigenous production of JF-17, Al-Khalid Tank, Armor Vehicles, Naval lightweight war ships and others.
Moreover, he said that this International event is providing the platform to defence researchers and scientists to synergize their efforts and Connectivity will bridge the gaps which is the viable solution.
Commodore Mohammad Tahir SI(M), Director Media said that the event has immense potential that is going to be held after four years due COVID-19 is as per its traditions will showcase a number of splendid activities encompassing world’s advance defence technology demonstrations, international seminar, IDEAS Karachi Show, networking, and business expansions through B2B and B2G engagements. IDEAS 2022 will bring together defence industries from across the globe to showcase their latest technological innovations.
A large number of senior civil and military delegations, trade visitors and three new European Countries Austria, Romani and Hungry are visiting for the first time that obviously mark our success.
Sharing the details of the exhibition he said that It will start on 15 November after a grand inauguration ceremony and will continue till 18 November. The first two days have been earmarked for delegations, trade visitors and networking activities. The other highlights of the day include an International Seminar on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Defence Market; A Paradigm Shift in Military Strategy and National Security.
We are also connecting our local manufacturers with the International community, especially the local Arms producers; Air Show has been planned specially for the people of Karachi on 17 November at Nishan-e-Pakistan, Sea View that we are in dire need for public participation, he concluded.
To specially mark the 11th edition of IDEAS 2022, Ministry of Pakistan Postal Services has issued a Commemorative Postal Stamp of Rs.20/-.
New inventions of Pakistan defence industry will also be inaugurated and showcased during the exhibition.
On the occasion, DIGP Traffic, Ahmed Nawaz Cheema also briefed the media about the Traffic management Plan and alternate routes to facilitate the people of Karachi, during the exhibition time heavy traffic is not allowed. 2500 policemen are deputed for traffic control during this event.
