Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday, requesting permission for his personal doctors to conduct a routine medical examination. The case is set to be heard by Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb on Tuesday.
The petition, filed by Khan’s legal team, including Barrister Salman Safdar and Khalid Yusuf Chaudhry, argues that Dr. Asim Yousuf, Dr. Faisal Sultan, and Dr. Samina Niazi, who are familiar with Khan’s medical history, should be allowed to conduct his check-up every 15 days. It was noted that access to these doctors was previously denied for an examination scheduled on October 15.
The petition also seeks the inclusion of an ENT specialist and names the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad and the Superintendent of Adiala Jail as respondents in the case.
