I stand before you to address a topic that is of great importance to us all. We live in a world where the concepts of dignity, honor, character, and nobility are in a state of decline. The very qualities that make us human, that make us noble, that give us the ability to rise above our limitations, are being lost in the midst of our fast-paced, materialistic world. The ideals of shaheen, mard-e-momin, qalandar, and khudi are all being eroded, leaving us with a society that is increasingly selfish, greedy, and lacking in moral values.
My brother Syed Muhammad Ali Raza Abidi has written this article and I am using his words and sentences. He read all Iqbal books and conclude that Shaheen, Sef Esteem, Mard Momin, Qalandar, are important for living a good life. So I write below using his article wth his permission.
The concept of shaheen, a symbol of power, strength, and freedom, is rapidly losing its significance. Our world is now filled with people who are willing to compromise their values and principles in exchange for material gain, forgetting that the true power lies in the ability to remain steadfast in the face of adversity. The ideal of mard-e-momin, a person of faith, courage, and conviction, is also being forgotten. In a world where instant gratification is the norm, the idea of sacrifice and selflessness is rapidly becoming outdated.
The concept of qalandar, a person who is free from worldly desires and is dedicated to the pursuit of spiritual enlightenment, is also disappearing from our society. We have become so preoccupied with the material world that we have forgotten the importance of nurturing our souls. And finally, the idea of khudi, the essence of the self, the very thing that makes us unique and special, is being lost in the midst of our obsession with conformity and uniformity.
The reasons for this decline are many. The rise of materialism, the erosion of traditional values, the breakdown of family structures, the loss of faith, and the increasing focus on individualism are all contributing to this decline. We have forgotten the importance of community, of shared values, of working together towards a common goal. Instead, we have become self-centered and focused only on our own desires, at the expense of others.
We must recognize the importance of these ideals and work towards restoring them in our society. We must strive to be like the shaheen, powerful, strong, and free. We must embody the qualities of the mard-e-momin, faith, courage, and conviction. We must seek to be like the qalandar, free from worldly desires, and dedicated to the pursuit of spiritual enlightenment. And finally, we must embrace the concept of khudi, the essence of the self, the very thing that makes us unique and special.
Let us work together towards a brighter future, where the ideals of dignity, honor, character, and nobility are once again valued and celebrated. Let us strive towards a society where the concepts of shaheen, mard-e-momin, qalandar, and khudi are not just ideals, but a way of life.
