Israel’s Gaza Offensive Continues: 27 More Palestinians Killed Overnight

Israeli forces launched overnight attacks across Gaza, killing 27 Palestinians, including 13 in a strike on a building in Khan Younis. This comes amid growing global condemnation of Israel’s assault on the al-Mawasi “safe zone” in southern Gaza.

According to Al Jazeera’s Sanad agency, Israeli forces deployed US-made 2,000-pound (907kg) MK-84 bombs in al-Mawasi, resulting in the deaths of at least 19 people and injuring 60 others.

Despite the ongoing conflict, UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) continues a critical campaign to vaccinate Gaza’s children against poliovirus in the northern region. The effort persists “against all odds,” including Israeli attacks on UN health workers and their vehicles.

Since the escalation began, at least 41,020 Palestinians have been killed, and 94,925 others wounded in the ongoing war on Gaza. On the Israeli side, 1,139 people have been killed in Hamas-led attacks since October 7, with more than 200 individuals taken captive.
