The International Cricket Council (ICC) has awarded Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis the prestigious Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year 2024 title, following a stellar year in international cricket, particularly in the red-ball format.
An Outstanding Year for Mendis
The 26-year-old left-handed batter showcased remarkable consistency and composure under pressure, scoring 1,451 runs across formats at an average of just above 50.
