KARACHI: Li Bijian, Consul General of China in Karachi has said that the Communist Party of China (CPC) celebrated its 100th Founding anniversary on July 1,2021. Since the existence, the CPC has been always committed to its original aspiration and founding mission of seeking happiness for the Chinese people and realizing the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, whether in good or bad times and perseveres in marching towards its goal, winning wholehearted support of the Chinese people.
Addressing the webinar to celebrate 100th anniversary of CPC organized by Karachi Editors Club (KEC) he shared the valuable experience from 100 years of the CPC. Firstly, adhere to adapting Marxism to the Chinese context; secondly, adhere to the people-centered philosophy of development; thirdly, adhere to strengthening the party’s own organizational development; fourthly, adhere to reform and innovation; fifthly, adhere to consolidating and developing the patriotic united front; and sixthly, adhere to the strategy of peaceful development.
Li Bijian said, in the face of the severe and complicated international situation and the difficult and heavy task of domestic reform, development and stability, under the guidance of Xi Jinping thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, the CPC Central Committee has maintained its strategic determination, accurately judged the situation, carefully planned and deployed, acted decisively and made painstaking efforts, and led the people to create a miracle of rapid economic development and a miracle of long-term social stability that is rare in the world.
Li said, the original aspiration and the mission of the CPC is to seek happiness for the Chinese people and realizing the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The purpose of the Party is to serve the people wholeheartedly. Since its birth, the Party has always put the interests of the people in the highest position.
Li said, the CPC has been pursuing the philosophy that innovation is the primary impetus and talent is the resource of first importance. The CPC implements the innovation-driven development strategy, improves the national innovation system, and speeds up innovation in key and core technologies, to create new engines for social and economic development.
Bijian said, the CPC fully implements the Party’s basic policy on religious affairs, uphold the principle that religions in China must be Chinese in orientation and provides active guidance to religions so that they can adapt themselves to socialist society.
Li Bijian said, the century-long history of the CPC is a history of unremitting struggle, ideological exploration and self-construction. These 100 years have been a hundred years of carrying out the original aspiration and the mission, a hundred years of laying the foundation, and a hundred years of creating a brilliant and open future. He said, the CPC remains firm in its commitment to strengthening friendship and cooperation with other countries. CPC as a whole upholds the authority and centralized, unified leadership of the Central Committee, works tirelessly to realize the second centenary goal, and the Chinese dream of national rejuvenation.
Ms. Yang Fanxin Director of International Cooperation Department, National Academy of Development and Strategy (NADS) Renmin University of China who was the guest of honour of the webinar, quoting the speech of President Xi on this occasion said she is very much impressed on his point of view that President Xi has stated: “The state is the people and the people are the state”, “the CPC has deeply changed the direction and process of the development of the Chinese nation since recent modern times, profoundly changed the trend and pattern of world development.
She said China has been transformed from a highly centralized planned economic system to vibrant socialist market economic system, the reasonable economic policies help China become the world’s second largest economy and the world’s second largest consumer market.
Yang said, China’s education popularization level has been greatly improved, and the overall quality of the people has been comprehensively upgraded; the contribution rate of technological progress to economic growth reaches 57.5%; except the higher quality and full employment, China comprehensively establishes a multi-level social security system; the rural development is changing with each passing day, the targeted poverty alleviation policies helped 770 million people get rid of poverty; today, Chinese average life expectancy exceeds 76.7 years; as of November 2020, China has signed 201 cooperation documents for jointly building the “Belt and Road” with 138 countries and 31 international organizations.
Fanxin said China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic partners; such world-renowned achievements are inseparable from the support and help of the people and government of Pakistan.
Sirajuddin Aziz, a renowned author, poet and CEO: Group Financial Institutions at Habib Bank AG Zurich who was the guest of honour from Pakistan in the webinar congratulated to the people of China and the Government of China and Chinese envoys in Pakistan on the centenary celebrations of the CPC.
Sirajuddin Aziz mentioned that the CPEC is the first showcase of that initiative of creating that economic bond to the relationship that we enjoy between the two countries. He said this is only the beginning of my personal view that we have so much to learn from China, their experience of having developed special economic zones that have been extremely well.
He discussed possibilities be utilizing CPEC to the mutual advancement of both the countries saying that there is so much of the opportunity in terms of various sectors of the economy. He also shared his banking experience and learning during his stay in China.
Earlier, Mubasher Mir President KEC, in his welcome address, congratulated the CPC leadership on completion of 100 years. He disclosed that KEC celebrates CPC anniversary every year since 2018, and this year it is celebrating it through this webinar amidCOVID-19 following the necessary SOPs.
Manzar Naqvi Secretary General KEC thanked the support of Nong Rong Ambassador of China in Pakistan and Li Bijian Consul General at Karachi. He congratulated the entire Chinese Nation throughout the world on centenary celebrations of the CPC.
Brig (Retd) Tariq Khalil, Mukhtar Ahmed Butt, Agha Masood Hussain and Prof Ayesha Alam, Head of the Department of Hazara University, KPK congratulated the whole CPC leadership and appreciated the amazing and energetic leadership of President XI Jinping and expressed the hope that China would soon emerge as the Top Most Economy of the world under the sincere leadership of Xi Jinping. They also appreciated the amazing ‘Belt & Road’ programme initiated by of President Xi in 2013 for the regional development and connectivity and CPEC for the amazing development of Pakistan. They declared that Pak-China Friendship is long lasting and is based on trust and mutual benefits.
