KARACHI: Pakistan’s Khalid Atlas Khan won the MA Squash Singles Championships (New England Regional Championship) in Massachusetts, USA, according to reports reaching here Friday.
Khalid defeated Froot, Mark from Boston in the final to claim the title of this event in which 26 players from different states participated.
In the first round of the 32 places draw, he defeated Poirier, Hudson from Wellesley 6, 3, 5 and then beat Bhagwati, Anuj from Belmont 7, 4, 1 in the second round.
In the quarterfinals, Khalid easily won against Lamsa, Eric from Boston 3, 2, 4 and then overpowered Shulman, Jacob from Needham 5, 5, 2 in the semis.
Khalid is a former national player from Pakistan and currently he is Head Squash Coach at Lifetime Athletic Club, MA, USA.
He is also ASF Level-II, WSF Level-1 Qualified Coach while WSF & ASF Level-1 Qualified Tutor.
