Known writer and poet Dr Talat Shabbir’s second poetry work, ‘AlagRaastoonkaDukh’ launched

ISLAMABAD: Organized by Halqa-e-Ilm-o-Adab, Islamabad, the launch ceremony of the second poetry work of the well-known poet, writer and columnist Dr. Talat Shabbir “AlagRaastoonkaDukh” was held in the conference hall of the Academy of Litters Pakistan, which was presided over by the well-known poet, writer, critic and educationist Professor Dr. Maqsood Jafri, says a Press release.
The guests of honor of the ceremony included well-known poet and researcher Dr. Nisar Turabi, Amina Sardar, Bushra Huzeen and Ziaullah Shah. The event was moderated by Dr. Arif Farhad, the president of Halqa-e-Ilm-o-Adab, Islamabad.
Commenting on Dr Talat Shabbir’s work Dr Farhad said, “His poetry is the poetry of a special mood that captivates the heart of the readers. The title of his book “AlagRaastoonkaDukh” is multifaceted in meaning. Bushra Hazeen and Amina Sardar also appreciated the poet’s skills and said that Dr. Talat Shabbir’s poetry shows his concerns for humanity and the pain of deprived class of the society.
Ziaullah Shah a known politician of the town also commented on the poetic works of Dr Talat Shabbir. Dr. Nisar Turabi in his speech said that Dr. Talat Shabbir is a good poet who possesses the skill of creating great thought-provoking poetry in simplest possible way.
Dr. Maqsood Jafari, while presiding over talked about the technical merits of Dr. Talat Shabbir’s poetry in detail. He said, “For him the words take the form of metaphors and make the poetic works meaningful and impressive. Sorrows and pains are a feature of his poetry”.
Dr. Talat Shabbir, the author of the book, thanked the participants for joining the ceremony, and talked about his poetic journey of more than two decades.
In the end, the host of the event Dr. Arif Farhad thanked all the participants.
On this occasion, MPhil scholar Maryam Naseem presented her research work “Dr Talat Shabbir ki ilmi-o-adabi khidmaat” to the author.
