PESHAWAR: The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman and Chief Minister Mahmood Khan Tuesday jointly chaired a special meeting here at Governor’s House and reviewed the work progress on ongoing development projects in erstwhile Frontier Region (FR) Peshawar and Kohat.
The meeting was briefed about the work progress on ongoing approved developmental schemes and future developmental schemes in the areas of erstwhile FRs (Sub-Divisions) Peshawar and Kohat in detail, says a Press release.
The Governor and Chief Minister both directed concerned departments to ensure timely completion of all the development projects without compromising on quality of work. The departments were also asked to review progress on all the development projects fortnightly.
Speaking on the occasion the Governor said that the development projects in the areas of erstwhile FRs Peshawar and Kohat would address a sense of deprivation among local people and usher a new era of development and prosperity in these areas.
The Chief Minister Mahmood Khan said that provincial government is utilizing all available resources for the development projects in the merged districts and sub-divisions, adding that KP government was committed to carrying out fast pace development projects in the tribal districts as promised.
It is pertinent to mention here, the provincial government has approved a number of developmental schemes in the erstwhile FR Peshawar and Kohat in the Education, Health, Irrigation, Public Health Engineering, Road Construction and in other sectors in the best public interest.
