KARACHI: LadiesFund Energy (Private) Limited, in a groundbreaking collaboration with develoPPP and KFWDEG, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), recently conducted an empowering and transformative training session dedicated to fostering the growth and empowerment of women, says a Press release.
This exceptional event marked a significant milestone in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) and Sustainable Practices and Environmental Management for Women initiative championed by LadiesFund Energy.
Attendees from diverse backgrounds learned about the inception, relevance and ways to implement the UNSDGs. The training was comprehensive, fresh, with an emphasis on skill enhancement and a focus on both personal and professional development.
The distinguished four-member team from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), specially convened from Islamabad, played a pivotal role in orchestrating this comprehensive training. Head of Climate Promise, Usman Manzoor, led the charge during the session.
“Inclusivity remains pivotal in empowering women to tackle and navigate the challenges posed by climate change,” stated Usman Manzoor from UNDP.
Tara Uzra Dawood, Chief Executive Officer, LadiesFund Energy (Private) Limited, expressed gratitude towards the support of develoPPP and KFWDEG and to the UNDP representatives who had come from Islamabad including not just Mr. Usman Manzoor, but Ms. Arish Naseem, Research and Reporting Officer, Sarah Khalid, Climate Change Specialist, and Javeria Masood, Innovation Portfolio Lead, for their invaluable contribution.

The event witnessed an impressive turnout, with over 70 young women from SMEs, corporate sectors, and leading companies participating enthusiastically.
