ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s National Security Adviser (NSA), Lieutenant General Asim Malik, strongly countered Indian NSA Ajit Doval’s accusations during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s (SCO) meeting of National Security Advisers held in Beijing, China, effectively neutralizing India’s narrative with a pointed and evidence-backed response.
During his address, Ajit Doval attempted to justify Operation Sindoor, branding it as a counter-terrorism initiative, while simultaneously levelling baseless accusations against Pakistan. In a swift and decisive rebuttal, Lt Gen Asim Malik categorically dismissed Doval’s claims, calling them a “bundle of lies.”
Lt Gen Malik said that India has developed a habit of externalizing its internal failures, consistently blaming other nations for issues rooted in its own domestic challenges. He emphasized that there is irrefutable evidence of Indian state involvement in sponsoring terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a fact that Pakistan has raised at various international forums.
Highlighting Pakistan’s pivotal role in the global fight against terrorism, Malik underscored the unmatched sacrifices of the Pakistani nation, adding that India’s track record, in contrast, reeks of duplicity and double standards. He warned that pushing such a hypocritical narrative within the SCO framework could jeopardize the organization’s broader mission of promoting regional solidarity, trust, and security cooperation.
According to diplomatic sources, Lt Gen Malik’s clear and forceful intervention left Doval without a response, effectively silencing the Indian NSA during the high-level deliberations.
The SCO NSAs’ meeting, attended by top security officials from member states, is aimed at promoting mutual understanding and cooperation on strategic regional challenges. Pakistan’s firm stand reflects its commitment to counter-terrorism, regional peace, and exposing state-sponsored destabilization efforts.
