Sindh govt is corrupt, FG is incompetent: GDA Info Secretary
Karachi is not heirless; we are the real heirs of this City. Sindh government is corrupt and federal government is incompetent, we are not bound with PTI leadership. These views were expressed by GDA Information Secretary Sardar Abdul Rahim at a joint Press conference held at Karachi Press Club along with Irfanullah Marwat, MPA Nusrat Sehar Abbasi, Nand Kumar Goklani, NPP General Secretary Naeem-ur-Rehman, Functional League Sindh Vice President Syed Shafqat Hussain Shah and Karachi Convener Barrister Arshad Baloch during the reported week.
GDA spokesman Sardar Rahim said that people are suffering due to incompetence of both Provincial and Federal governments and are fed up with the worst load-shedding of electricity. He said that other companies should be given license to supply electricity to Karachi by eliminating K-Electric role.
Irfanullah Marwat has said that we are definitely allies of the government but we are not bounded,unity can exist and it may be end at any time, Imran Khan is in the pain for his people but he handed over the government to the kids who are playing whole day. How GDA can resolve the public various issues, the level of patience of the people is more than enough. GDA leader MPA Nusrat Saher Abbasi said that hundreds of girls including innocent ministers were killed in Murad Ali Shah’s constituency.
Specialized Committee meeting of Tourism of ECO-CCI via video link
A Specialized Committee Meeting of Tourism of ECO-CCI, Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Transport was held virtually attended by all representatives of CCI of ECO member countries including Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Tajakistan and ECO Secretarait. The FPCCI was represented by Sohail Lashari and Ismael Suttar member ECO-CCI specialized Committee on Tourism (Pakistan Chapter) and Shaikh Sultan Rehman, Vice President FPCCI reported during this week.
Rehman,V.P, FPCCI emphasized on the need of the promotion of tourism among the member Countries and ECO region as one of the richest in terms of the ancient silk road. He stated that despite various activities and event on tourism, the ECO region still lacks a comprehensive regional strategy for sustainable tourism development. He said that to utilize the great potential of the region diversification and easement of tourism activities.
Aurat Foundation distributes relief goods to affectees
Aurat Foundation in collaboration with South Asia Partnership under its “JAZBA” program provided relief support (Ration Bags) to 30 needy women at Shafiq Mehboob Health Club, Madina Coloney, Korangi, Karachi to those needy women who were not received any support from government and other sources due to various reasons reported during this week. The honorable Chief guest was Ms. Nuzhat Shireen, Chairperson Sindh Commission on the Status of Women.
Ms. Mahnaz Rehman Resident Director Aurat Foundation said on the occasion that human race is facing different natural calamities since many decades, but never faced the dangerous pandemic like COVID-19.
PIMA Health RAB and NIH launch an online corona survey
Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) in collaboration with Health Research Advisory Board (Health RAB) and National Institute of Health launched an online survey for the people tested for COVID-19 with PCR in Pakistan to understand symptoms , etiology of this disease in relation to age, gender, comorbidities, course of disease with its complications in addition to the psychological impact of the disease on various age groups, and finally the ultimate outcomes of the disease informed by Telemedicine’s Expert Dr. Zakiuddin Ahmed and re known Diabetologist Dr. Abdul Basit from Health RAB in a Press Conference held at Karachi reported during this week.
The launch ceremony was graced by the virtual presence of Prof. Afzal Mian (President, PIMA) who stressed the importance of research during the pandemic, and said that since the outbreak, thousands of researches have been conducted to understand and control the spread of this virus but we are still far behind to understand this disease.
