Chief of the Naval Staff opens Pakistan Navy LTE network
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi conferred military awards upon Pakistan Navy personnel and also inaugurated Pakistan Navy’s Long Term Evolution (LTE) Network at an impressive Investiture Ceremony held at Bahria Auditorium, Karsaz, during the week.
The Naval Chief, while inaugurating the LTE Network emphasized that LTE technology will greatly enhance Pakistan Navy’s Network Centre Warfare capability and provide information superiority against the enemy in both conventional and asymmetric threat situations. He called upon the Commanders at all tiers to optimally utilize this capability taking due cognizance of information security aspects.
Earlier during the Investiture Ceremony, Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha-i-Imtiaz Tamgha-i-Basalat were awarded to Naval officers on their outstanding achievements.
Zong 4G, Pakistan extends its support to the SOS Village
After torrential monsoon rains, Zong 4G, Pakistan’, has provided its support to SOS Children’s Village (kids’ welfare organization) located at Malir, Karachi. The development is a part of Zong’s CSR strategy of partnering with key organizations across the country to help the underprivileged communities of Pakistan. As part of this partnership, Zong 4G volunteers visited the SOS Children’s Village in Karachi and donated clothes to them reported during this week.
“The ruthless spells of rain in the present monsoon season have left the needy people even more vulnerable and as an organization that cares about the people, Zong 4G has stepped forward during these difficult times to support the children of the SOS village in Karachi,” said by their official spokesperson. “Our partnership with the SOS Children’s Village is reflective of our commitment to reach out and care for the underprivileged communities. We hope that this little token will help the children at SOS village.”
Administrator Karachi lays floral wreath at the Quaid’s mausoleum
On death anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, newly Administrator Karachi Iftikhar Ali Shallwani laid floral wreath on his mausoleum on behalf of the people of Karachi and registered his comments on the visitors book.
Paying rich tributes to the Founder of Pakistan, Shallwani said that Muslims of subcontinent got separate homeland after tireless struggle of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Pakistan is blessing for all of us and our new generation has to preserve this gift.
“The life of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and his struggle is role model for all of us and every Pakistani has to play his role for prosperity, development and stability of the country,” he added.
The Administrator was of the view that we could become great nation by adopting teachings of Quaid-i-Azam, unity faith and discipline. Karachi is a place of birth of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah who had versioned for developed Karachi and now it is our responsibility to fulfill his dream.
