Iranian Consulate hosts 35th death anniversary of Imam Khomeini (RA)


The Iranian Consulate Karachi organized a program at Husayniyah Iraniyan Kharadar to commemorate the 35th death anniversary of Imam Khomeini (may he rest in peace), during the week, to pay tribute to Dr. Ebrahim Raisi and his associates, and to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Gaza. The event was attended by Provincial Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs Syed Riaz Hussain Shah, Sindh Assembly member and Senator Yusuf Baloch, member of the Islamic Educational Society Maulana Uzair Azhari, President of the Central Ulema Council Sindh Maulana Azad Jameel, Quranic commentator Sheikh Salahuddin, and various social and religious figures from Karachi.
The speakers highlighted various aspects of the personalities of Imam Khomeini (may he rest in peace) and Dr. Ebrahim Raisi, particularly praising their contributions regarding the Palestinian issue. The Consul General of Iran in Karachi, Hassan Nourian, also addressed the gathering, expressing gratitude to all guests and making special mention of the letter written by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei to students in American universities who are raising their voices against the ongoing oppression and brutality in Gaza.
He emphasized that the letter particularly encourages these students, stating that they are on the right path and will always be remembered in history. The Iranian Consul General noted that Imam Khomeini (may he rest in peace), with his divine insight, understood that the only solution to the Palestinian issue is the unity of the Muslim Ummah. Therefore, he used to emphatically say that if the Muslim Ummah unites and each Muslim pours even a bucket of water towards Israel, it would be annihilated. He further added that Imam Khomeini (may he rest in peace) designated the last Friday of Ramazan as Quds Day to foster unity among the Ummah and to specifically support the oppressed people of Palestine on this day.

CG China Yang Yundong exchanges views with over 30 students from NIMP

Consul General of China in Karachi Yang Yundong invited more than 30 students from the 40th Intermediate Civil Servant Training Class of the National Institute of Management of Pakistan to visit the Chinese Consulate Karachi for exchanges views during the reported week.
Yundong Yang introduced China’s economic and social development, as well as strategic plans such as advancing Chinese-style modernization, promoting high-quality development, and implementing high-level opening up. He elaborated on China’s foreign policy and its position on regional hot issues, and emphasized that China is willing to strengthen cooperation with Pakistan in various fields and promote new progress in the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The participants spoke highly of the tremendous development achievements China has made in recent years. They believed that China’s modernization drive would bring more development opportunities to countries around the world, including Pakistan. They hoped to learn from China’s development experience, promote Pakistan’s economic and social development, and achieve more results in China-Pakistan practical cooperation.

Yundong meets Senator Sarmad Ali Secretary General of APNS, others

During the reported week Consul General of China Yang Yundong also invited to the member of the Senate of Pakistan and Secretary-General of the Pakistani Newspaper Society (APNS) Senator Sarmad Ali and the members of APNS from major Pakistani media including the Business Chronicle, Regional Times, and Ibrat Newspaper to visit the Consulate for exchanges, during the week.
Consul General of China congratulated Sarmad on his election as senator and had in-depth exchanges with the guests on Chinese-style modernization, China-Pakistan relations, and the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He emphasized that the All-Pakistan Newspaper Society (APNS) has unique advantages in the media field and hoped that it would fully play its role as a bridge and link, strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Chinese media, jointly tell the moving story of China-Pakistan friendship, promote mutual understanding between the two peoples, and contribute to the high-quality development of bilateral relations.
Sarmad Ali and others spoke highly at the meeting, of China’s achievements in economic and social development, and expressed their willingness to leverage the association’s advantages to promote communication and exchanges between Pakistani and Chinese media, create a better atmosphere for promoting the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and practical cooperation in various fields between the two countries, and continue to consolidate the ironclad friendship between Pakistan and China.
