HYDERABAD: There was severe mismanagement in Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) in Jamshoro, where MDCAT pre-entry test were held on Sunday, says a Press release.
It is stated that the Security in-charge Khalid and other members of the security staff collected their mobile phones, wallets and watches at the counter and started issuing tokens to students who arrived for the pre-entry test at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) in Jamshoro at 10 am on Sunday.
After the entrance test ended at 2 pm, and the students reached the counter, to find that there was no counter existed there. When the students protested against this process, they were taken to a park nearby and started to return their personal belonging but allegedly mobile phones, watches and wallet/purses of 10-12 students were found missing.
After the strong protest of students, the security in-charge Khalid took the tokens from them and allegedly tore them apart saying that now go and tells it to whomever you want to say to whosoever. After that, the students continued protesting there from 2:00 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., the faculty in-charge of LUMHS reached there and assured the students that their belongings would be returned.
The protest of the female students for the recovery of their valuables continued till 7 pm, after which the security in-charge Khalid and other security personnel severely humiliated the protesting students who were protesting for the recovery of their valuables and pushed them out of the LUMHS limits.
The leaders of Azadar Coordinating Committee Hyderabad has strongly condemned this shameful act of the security personnel during the Pre-Entry Test in LUMHS, who allegedly deliberately mismanaged the students by grabbing their valuables, tearing tokens and humiliating the students by pushing them beyond the limits of LUMS.
