This time Modi’s false flag operation flopped immediately after its launch because he failed to satisfy his own people and the world all over. As a result he suffered great humiliation at home and abroad. There is a well-known saying “The greatest advantage of speaking truth is that you don’t have to remember anything”. Modi even failed to sell his narrative to own people and faced criticism. As anticipated the Indian Prime Minister’s threats were pouring in much before this operation that gave a clear indication of her bad intentions. Pakistan was also fully prepared and had taken all necessary precautions to meet any war like situation. Probably a homegrown terrorist group of India attacked tourists in Pehalgam and killed 28 tourists. Pakistan also condemned this wanton killing. But it was very strange when Modi blamed Pakistan without any evidence. Question arises: where were Indian police in uniform and the one who remain in private dress? Where were their intelligence agencies? India has deployed around 7 lack troops in Kashmir making it extremely difficult for anyone to enter in the area that is so heavily guarded. Secondly how on earth within two hours India blamed Pakistan and accused that terrorists entered from Pakistan. Let India inform people the type of barometer they have that could identify terrorists entered from Pakistan. It was a false flag operation like other operations which India keeps conducting with regular intervals to fool its people. But this time Indian media created a hype therefore people forced Modi to take action against Pakistan; it looks Modi was left with no choice except to attack Pakistan to satisfy his people not realizing that such actions are taken as an act of war. Modi under the cover of false flag operation also suspended Indus water Treaty without any lawful authority and stopped entry of visa holders. Pakistan also closed its air space and cut in diplomatic staff. Pakistan did not react immediately but was under pressure from people to pay back Modi in same coin. UN Secretary General, Russia, China, Turkey Iran appealed for calm and advised to settle the issues through dialogues. Pakistan asked India to provide evidence but there was no response. Pakistan suggested to constitute a committee of neutral countries to conduct the investigations and reveal the truth, but India did not agree with the proposal and wanted to escalate the matter without realizing its consequences. Donald Trump also asked both sides to remain cool and offered his services as an arbitrator. A very pertinent question agitating minds of people needs little attention as Modi could never take independently decision of attacking Pakistan. Sooner or later this will surface most probably people think he had the Ashirwad of super power to create tension and then intervene and advise both to stay cool. Unfortunately Modi gradually lost his popularity and so is his party BJP as reflected in recent elections. Results of recent elections had disturbed his mind and to divert the attention of people such false flag operations are conducted as happened in the past. Modi failed to sell his narrative to the world and even failed to convince his own people.
To support his narrative on 5 May India attacked Pakistan by hitting 9 sites in Bahawalpur, Muridkay and in Azad Jammu Kashmir under the cover of terrorists hide outs that resulted in deaths of about 20 people besides causing injuries to few. Pakistan gave a befitting response by shooting down 5 Indian planes including their modern fighter plane Rafael the pride of India. The world was shocked and so was India on their performance having spent billions of dollars to strengthen IAF. However, it may be mentioned there was nothing wrong with the planes but poor performance by the pilots.
War between two nuclear-armed neighbors like India and Pakistan is not just a regional threat-it has global implications. Both countries have a long history of tension, primarily centered around territorial disputes and cross-border terrorism, and every escalation risks spiraling into a broader conflict .War rhetoric, even when used for domestic political gain, is dangerous and irresponsible. Modi tried to cleverly attack Pakistan with drones and missiles. Pakistan was left with no option except to give a befitting response. Pakistan’s strike in India, conducted by the PAF, downed 6 combat jets, including 2 Rafael and destroyed their S-400 air defence system. A total of 26 air bases were targeted inside India, including Jammu, Udampur, Gujrat and Pathankot air bases- most of which were acknowledged by the Indian Army in a press conference. According to Indian statements, nearly 23 air bases were targeted inside Pakistan. However, none of these claims were officially accepted by Pakistan, and India did not provide any authentic evidence till date. This unnerved Modi and its armed forces besides, letting down France, Israel and Russia. In spite of India’s aggression Pakistan again offered India to constitute a committee of neutral countries at a neutral place to find the truth but there was no response. The US wanted both countries to settle their issues through dialogue. Diplomatic dialogue, even if difficult, is the only sustainable path forward. The international community, particularly influential powers like the U.S, China, Russia and the UN, played a very constructive role in de-escalating tensions. Both being nuclear powers have a greater responsibility to maintain peace. Deterrence should not be mistaken for justification of brinkmanship.
Pakistan time and again has said that exercising the nuclear option cannot be ruled out if sovereignty is under threat. Pakistan announced a meeting of Nuclear Command and Control, which disturbed US. , Donald Trump a no war president ultimately convinced India and Pakistan to stop fighting. It was an abrupt stoppage of war by both sides to agree to ceasefire on the mediation of Donald Trump through its vice president J D Vance. Both sides have agreed to stop fighting and present their case with proper evidence at a neutral place. Modalities are being worked out. Both nations are nuclear-armed, and the doctrine of deterrence (Mutually Assured Destruction) acts as a powerful restraint. Internal priorities (e.g., elections, economic challenges) also discourage major escalation. The world watching silently is unfortunately a common feature in South Asia’s geopolitics. Major Powers tend to stay quiet until the risk of conflict threatens global interests directly.
The U.S. often plays the role of a quiet mediator behind the scenes. It was Donald Trump who intervened and arranged a ceasefire. However, it has been noticed that India is still using aggressive language and preparing for the second round. This ceasefire is a temporary pause and has afforded India to regroup its forces. There is a lot of pressure on Modi to tender his resignation. People have turned wild and want Modi to attack Pakistan and restore the humiliation suffered at the hands of Pak forces. Pakistan is fully geared and prepared to meet any situation created by India and is on full alert. Pakistan continues to play cool and never wants war but if it is thrust on Pakistan we are ready to teach bitter lesson to aggressor
