PML-N President Nawaz Sharif departed from London to Geneva on Wednesday for a four-day visit to join his daughter, Maryam Nawaz, who serves as the Chief Minister of Punjab. Speaking to The News, Nawaz Sharif confirmed the trip but deferred questions about political matters until his return.
Maryam Nawaz, expected to arrive in Geneva on Wednesday evening, is reportedly seeking medical treatment for a persistent throat infection and may undergo surgery based on her doctors’ advice. After the Geneva stay, Nawaz Sharif plans to return to London briefly before traveling back to Pakistan, while Maryam will return directly to Pakistan due to her provincial commitments.
