The Karsaz accident in Karachi has garnered significant attention, especially with the emergence of new CCTV footage showing the moments leading up to the tragic crash. The footage reveals a speeding SUV, driven by a woman named Natasha, moving through a service lane before it collided with a motorcycle, killing 26-year-old Aamna Arif and her 60-year-old father, Imran Arif.
According to the CCTV footage obtained by Geo News, the SUV is initially seen slowing down to avoid an oncoming car but soon swerves and hits the motorcycle. The impact caused the motorcycle to fall, leading to the fatal accident. Natasha, the driver of the SUV, has since been arrested and is currently in judicial custody.
The accident occurred near the Pakistan Maritime Museum, and the investigation is ongoing, with police exploring various aspects, including obtaining additional CCTV footage. The FIR filed by the victim’s family includes charges of culpable homicide and negligence. Natasha’s husband mentioned that she had been taking medication for mental stress, which is also being considered in the investigation. The tragic incident has left the community mourning the loss of Aamna and Imran Arif, whose funeral prayers were held after Asr prayers.
