If many sins have become common in our society today, the reason is that people who, see a sin happening in front of them, become silent or change their path. For example, today the number of people who do not pray has increased manifold. If your brother, your sister, daughter, son, parents, relatives or friends do not pray and you know this but you remain silent, then surely because of you they will take this sin very lightly and will do it more, and the number of people who do so will increase, while skipping prayer is a very big sin, but because everyone has become silent, the number of people who do not pray has increased.
Now I will give another example. About 30 years ago, no boy or girl used to go to hotels. Then hotels were meant only for married couples. A regular marriage certificate was also seen. Then people did not go to parks. If we go back 15 or 20 years from today, when the police saw a couple, they would immediately stop them and ask, “Brother.” What is the relationship between you two? Either the marriage certificate was shown or their parents were contacted and invited.
Then there were difficulties. There was no shamelessness, and people used to be seated separately at weddings, but even then, like most people today, there were some shameless people who turned a blind eye to sins. Because of them, shamelessness increased, shamelessness began, both sexes started coming together at weddings, then after a few years it became common, it continued to increase and today in 2025, if there was even an indecent picture of a girl, instead of stopping it, everyone would start spreading it. Couples are a thing of the past, now brothers and friends take their lovers and book hotels for themselves.
Now such scenes are seen in public that make you want to cry. Now the environment has turned upside down. Now shamelessness is increasingly adopted and those who wear a veil are considered ignorant. Now, it doesn’t matter whether a person is a non-prayer person or a shameless person. Now, parents are supporting their children by seeing them going astray.
Today, if someone’s daughter is caught dancing and making a splash through a video, her father is proud of her. Today, a boy meets his lover, his fiancée, before marriage. They cross the boundaries and despite their parents and family knowing everything, they remain silent. Now sisters and daughters are fighting with their families for their lovers. The religious minded people were considered ignorant, now those who stopped them are considered narrow-minded and old-fashioned. What is the reason? The reason is you and me. Why? Because we did not stop the sin when we saw it happening in front of us. Even today, if we try to stop the sin openly with our tongue, at least to some extent, we will save people and this tongue of ours will testify in our favor tomorrow and if we do not try to stop the sin with our hands or tongue after seeing it, the sin will also increase because of us + our own tongue will testify against us.
The punishment for those who commit sins will be very severe, but the toughest case will be with those who do not stop the sin. Not only indecency in front of us, we should stop any kind of sin when we see it happening. In any case, it is as good as that, if we think about whether we are also among such people with dead consciences, if we are, then change ourselves before it is too late. Because time is passing very fast, it does not take long for boys and girls to grow up.
In our society, there are the most dangerous minor and major sins, just like habits, they are also becoming mature with the passage of time. It is a fact that habits, whether bad or good, are human. In life, they also increase with the passage of time. When a sin becomes common, if no action is taken to stop it, it will continue to grow like a habit in future generations. It is better that all of us, from home to neighborhood to city, adopt some way to stop it instead of remaining silent when we see sin. If we remain silent, the time will not be far when it will not grow like a common habit.
